joko 2010No field is as diverse, technically complex and to so many changes as agriculture. This mix of interdisciplinarity, structural change and innovation continues to fascinate me.

I have worked in rural development for more than 30 years. I advise government and nongovernmental, national and international organizations involved in development work. From the beginning, I have aimed for a balance between more intensive production and sustainable use of natural resources.
